The Pollinator
The Pollinator’s paired, featherlike crowns spread above a cluster of small dark eyes. Their many senses make them attentive to movement through a crowded field, and they have learned to circle a conflict until they understand where its currents carry the living clouds released from Infestation.
They began as a keeper responsible for distributing a brood between distant habitats. A raid scattered the brood across an unsafe route, and the Pollinator followed its drifting traces until enough had been recovered to begin again. Since then, they have treated dispersal as both a means of survival and a way to shape the space around an enemy.
The Pollinator is patient with allies who respect the brood’s needs. They are less patient with those who assume a cloud becomes harmless once its source has moved away. They know how long living things can remain after their keeper has passed, and they plan accordingly.
