Spore-Priest Kresh
Kresh’s pale, layered crown shelters a face threaded with growth and bright green eyes. Among the faithful, their appearance is taken as a sign of closeness to the drifting life they tend. Among the authorities, it is a reminder of an argument they would prefer to end.
Kresh maintains that a spore-cloud can make a choice of its own. The high broodmothers call this a dangerous confusion: if the cloud has judgment, then its keepers must listen rather than merely command. Kresh began preaching after a cloud spared a vessel they had marked for destruction and settled instead on a ship carrying a concealed threat.
Communion Bloom travels with followers willing to wait for such answers. Kresh cannot promise that the cloud will favor an ally, and they refuse to pretend otherwise. Their faith requires attention, patience, and the unsettling possibility that another life understands the situation better.
