Molt-Prince Mol-Marrow
Mol-Marrow emerged from the appointed molt with a crown of blunt spines and a face the hive’s aestheticists could not classify. They examined every ridge, compared every proportion, and declared the result wrong without finding a rule it had broken.
The prince kept the shed material as evidence. Aboard Sloughed Carapace, fragments of the old form hang beside records of the new one, so any visitor may study the transition and offer an explanation. Mol-Marrow has grown tired of being told that the answer is obvious by people who cannot say what it is.
Leaving the hive’s service gave the prince room to meet others whose bodies changed beyond their brood’s expectations. Some came aboard seeking refuge; others came to argue. Mol-Marrow welcomes both, provided they look closely before they judge. The hive wanted a correction. The prince intends to make the question impossible to ignore.
