Chief Engineer Morek
Morek wears his goggles above a stern brow and keeps a mechanic’s habits even while commanding Forgeheart. He wants to know where material came from, what strain it has already endured, and who last worked on it.
After an early battle left his ship far from a friendly yard, Morek recovered useful parts from the wrecks around him. His crew turned those parts into repair craft and brought Forgeheart home. The solution became a practice: each defeated ship may provide the means to keep another vessel flying.
Morek records the origin of salvaged material, partly for safety and partly because a wreck once belonged to someone. He is not sentimental about an enemy that has threatened his crew, but he respects good workmanship wherever he finds it. Captains who can offer sound parts or practical knowledge may earn his attention. A trader who hides a fault in a part may see that part again, welded into Forgeheart.
